Following an executive committee meeting at the end of Tuesday’s meeting of Memorial Hospital and Manor Authority, at which time they discussed quality issues, personnel and strategic plans; they returned to open meeting and voted to renew CEO Billy Walker’s contract at the same salary, but with the following changes.

Rather than the three-year contract he had before, it will be a one year term with language inserted that if the contract expires without the board taking action it will be considered the same as a termination without cause. The language also increased his monthly car allowance from $540 to $650, and removed the no compete clause altogether.

The board also approved minutes from the last executive committee meeting and approved May credential reappointments for Jason Moye, M.D., Jim Franklin, PA, George Merritt, DPM and Marvin Martin, CRNA
