Funeral services for Juanita Harris, 84, of Donalsonville, Ga., were held Thursday, Jan. 29, at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Home officiating.

Burial followed in the Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville.

Born in Miller County on Jan. 7, 1925, Mrs. Harris died Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, at Bainbridge Health Care.

She was a homemaker, and she and her husband owned and operated Harris Oil Company in Donalsonville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Harris, and two brothers, Buford and Charlie M. Bean.

She is survived by a daughter, Kathy Holley; a sister, Evelyn Shingler of Donalsonville; a brother, Douglas Bean of Sumter, S.C.; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville was in charge of arrangements.
