Six local students—Melissa A. Gaskins, Joshua S. Pearson, Elysia J. Sharber, Leon S. Shirah, Paul L. Bridges and Kimberly D. Harrison—made the academic achievement list at Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus, Ga., for Fall 2008 by earning at least 15 hours of credit at Georgia Southwestern, by being enrolled in 3-14 hours of courses, and earning a 3.5 or higher grade point average.
