The Olympics are coming

The Olympics are coming—the senior Olympics that is.
On April 18, several Senior Centers in our area will be getting together for a day of fun and games. There will be games such as horseshoes, basketball throwing, walking, etc., for all who are interested in participating.
We, here in Bainbridge, did this the last couple of years and have really enjoyed ourselves. We also enjoy being the hosts for this event. And thanks to the Bainbridge Leisure Services Department, everyone is pretty well organized. Come out and bring a chair and watch the seniors in action.
You would be surprised at the stamina the senior still have and can use.
Don’t forget our Mother’s Day raffle. Tickets will be available all the month of April for the May 6th drawing. You need not be present to win and the tickets are only $3 each or two for $5.
We will be selling tickets in front of Wal-Mart on Saturday, April 11, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., and at Kmart on the Saturday, April 18, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Come see us and help the seniors in trying to help ourselves. We appreciate all you do and especially appreciate the wonderful business who donate our prizes to make something like this possible. There will be more than 20 prizes given away, so make sure you’re not left out.
We want to say a big thank you to Calvin McCoy and his crew for all the wonderful things they do at our center. Without you all, we would be in big trouble. You keep everything looking great. Thanks so much.
We’ve been missing Carolyn Savage this past week. She has had her share and someone else of illness this last few weeks. Hurry back Ms. Carolyn.
Also, we miss Donna Kemp. We hope you will be back soon as you are missed here at the center.
