A Grady County woman and Bainbridge Post Office employee worker who has been missing for two weeks was found OK early Tuesday morning.
Shortly after 8 a.m. 68-year-old Priscilla Brock was found by her daughter, Valerie Gilliard, in a wooded area approximately five miles from Brock’s home in Grady County.
According to Decatur County Sheriff’s Capt. Liz Croley, Gilliard received a call from the owner of some property on Donalson Road—a dirt road off of Belcher Circle—informing her that he had found a dog Brock was reported to have with her when she went missing on April 28.
Gilliard got permission to search the property for any sign of her mother and found her car driven off the road into a wooded area.
Brock was inside the car and was requesting water, and had apparently survived on some bottled water and cough drops that she had with her, according to Croley.
Grady County Sheriff Harry Young said Brock’s vehicle was located between several trees and she told police she had spent the last 14 days in that location.
Brock was taken to the hospital and was disoriented and suffering from dehydration, according to Young.
