On Saturday July 11, 2009, many of our neighbors and family came together to carry out a much-needed benefit for me as I battle terminal lung cancer.

My family and I were so touched by all the kind acts done on my behalf. I know there were so many who did so much, and I would like to take this opportunity to send to you from me, Joe Wisham and family, a big hug and heart-felt thank you to each person who assisted in anyway at or for the benefit.

These acts of love are truly a blessing to all of us. Just keep all of us in your prayers.
