Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society agents Ron and Jeanine Kirkland have provided new American flags for all the classrooms at the new Bainbridge High School and the school foyer and larger American and Georgia state flags for the flag staff in front of the school and the gymnasium.
The presentations were made on Aug. 19 in front of the school.
Accepting them from the Kirklands were Bainbridge High School Air Force Junior ROTC Cadet Commander Tiffany Blocker and principal Tommie Howell.
Bainbridge High School Air Force Junior ROTC program director Col. Gary Breedlove praised the Kirklands for taking the opportunity to provide numerous Decatur County schools and organizations with quality flags to encourage proper display of our national and state colors.
Kirkland said the Woodmen of the World Society is the second leading provider of American flags to schools and organizations in the country.
“The only ones who provide more American flags than we do is the federal government,” he said.
Woodmen of the World Insurance Society’s 2008 annual report stated that 83,247 flags were presented to non-profit groups, schools and communities during the year.
