BHS cross country teams run well

Coach Mandi O’Mara’s Bainbridge High School Lady Cats and Bearcats cross country teams turned in strong efforts in Saturday’s Westover High School Patriots Invitational at Robert Cross Middle School in Albany.
The Lady Cats finished 23rd in a 31-team, 267-runner girls field, and the Bearcats finished 26th in a 37-team, 320-runner boys field.
April Thomas of the Lady Cats, who won the 10th annual Bearcat Invitational Girls championship at the new Bainbridge High School in a course record time of 19 minutes, 30 seconds, was 54th in Albany ,completing the 3.1-mile course in a time of 27:07.43.
The top Lady Cats boys finisher Saturday was Erick Juarez. He was 89th in a time of 17:48.90.
Lady Cats finishing behind Thomas included Caroline Rollins, who was 106th in a time of 22:29.15; Kylie McGlincy, who was 159th in a time of 23:36.41; Anna Jordan, who was 169th in a time of 23:52.40, and Anne Reynolds, who was 182nd in a time of 24:17.18.
Bearcats finishing behind Juarez were Dylan Faircloth, who was 148th in a time of 18:49.37; Harold Martin, who was 171st in a time of 19:11.80; Antonio Anderson, who was 201st in a time of 19:43.65, and Javius Mitchell, who was 204th in a time of 19:48.40.
Completing the Lady Cats finishers Saturday were Amber Braswell, who was 187th in a time of 24:29.84; Ashten Oldaker, who was 211th in a time of 25:23.84; Ansley Phillips, who was 216th in a time of in a time of 25:38.03; Savannah Cook, who was 236th in a time of 27:44.14, and McKenzie, Conder, who was 241st in a time of 28:45.53.
The final four Bearcats finishers were Cole Farrington, who was 216th in a time of 20:00.72; Cody Heard, who was 230th in a time of 20:13.62; Lee Glaze, who was 258th in a time of 20:48.52, and Titus Madge, who was 280th in a time of 22:00.50.
