A memorial service for Kristopher James Diaz Jr., infant son of Kristopher James Diaz and Piedad Refugio Alvarez of Quincy, Fla., was held Saturday, Dec. 5, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

Baby Diaz died on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009, at Tallahassee (Fla.) Memorial HealthCare.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his maternal grandparents, Maria and Zeferino Veliz of Quincy; his paternal grandparents, Tammy and Refugio Diaz of Bainbridge; his uncle, Juan D. Veliz; and five aunts, Michelle Veliz, Sofia Veliz, Yuliana V. Veliz, Carla N. Diaz and Nancy S. Flores.

Ivey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
