Flossie Conyers

Funeral services for Flossie Mae Henry Conyers, 91, of Bainbridge, were held Saturday, Dec. 26, at Jacob Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Tallahassee, Fla., with the Revs. O. Jermaine Simmons and Ned Sanders officiating.

Interment followed in Tallahassee Memory Gardens with Bernard Akins, Compho Evans, Ricky Gennie, Arthur Hall, Bernard Hamilton, Vashun Moore, Willie B. Moore and Deacon Nathan Thomas serving as active pallbearers.

Born April 4, 1918, Mrs. Conyers died on Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, at Memorial Manor in Bainbridge.

Mrs. Conyers attended schools in Decatur County, Ga. She joined Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. Upon moving to Tallahassee, Fla., she became an active member of Jacob Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Odell Conyers; her sister, Francis; her brother, Joe; and a niece, Edna.

Survivors include nine nieces, a nephew, 22 great-nieces and nephews, two great-great nieces and nephews, two great-great-great nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Bruton Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
