It is not too late to give to the United Way of Bainbridge-Decatur County for a 2009 tax deduction!

The local United Way chapter is accepts tax-deductible donations year round, but if you want to receive a tax credit for your charitable contribution for 2009, please date checks for Dec. 31, 2009, and mail them to the United Way of Bainbridge-Decatur County, P.O. Box 1805, Bainbridge, GA 39818 by Jan. 3, 2010.

You can also contribute online at www.bainbridgeunitedway.com. The local chapter supports the following agencies: Salvation Army, Meals on Wheels, Samaritan Counseling Center, RISE Educational Tutoring, LIFE, Laymen Brothers Second Chance Outreach Center, Halcyon Home, Friendship House, Decatur County Neighborhood Service Center, Family Connection-ESCAPE Program, CASA of SWGA, and BAIN-Center for Independent Living.
