The Decatur/ Grady County Child Development Center will be taking applications for the 2010-2011 school year on Feb. 8-19 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Decatur/ Grady Child Development Center, located at 215 School Road in Climax. Those eligible for Head Start are children ages 3 by Sept. 1, 2010, through age 5. Head Start is also seeking to enroll children with disabilities, children who are emotionally disturbed, mentally challenged, blind or visually impaired, deaf or hearing impaired, physically or otherwise health impaired, requiring special education. To complete the registration procedure, they ask all applicants to bring the child’s certified birth certificate (with file number), and all verification of family income that can be left with the center, (preferably a 2009 Income Tax form or W2 form, a notarized statement from an employer, or a current check stub.
