The Decatur County Band Program will present its annual spring concert and awards program on Tuesday, May 4.
The concert will be held at Center Stage on the campus of Bainbridge College and will begin at 7 p.m.
The combined seventh-grade and eighth-grade bands of Bainbridge Middle School will open the concert under the direction of Joy Grimsley.
The Bainbridge High School Concert Band, under the direction of James Sewell, will perform next on the program followed by the Bainbridge High School Symphonic Band, under the direction of Paschal Ward.
Director of Bands Ward stated that the entire band program is looking forward to sharing an evening of entertainment under the stars with the City of Bainbridge and indeed all of Decatur County.
Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.
The reserve sheriff’s unit will be selling soft drinks during the concert and helping park cars for this event. So bring a blanket or a lawn chair and sit back and enjoy a concert under the stars.
In the event of rain the concert will be in the gym at Bainbridge High School at 7 p.m.
Due to the number of students enrolled in band at the Hutto Middle School, their concerts will be held at the Bainbridge High School Gym. The dates are May 6, May 10 and May 11.
