Funeral services for Moncile Williams McLendon, 86, of Colquitt, Ga. were held Sunday, June 13, in the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with the Revs. Sterling Jones and James Scarborough officiating.
Interment followed at the Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville with Chuck Hardage, Todd Hardage, Scott Kirkland, Eric Enfinger, Chase Hardage and Charlton Hardage serving as active pallbearers.
Born in Colquitt, Ga., on Feb. 15, 1924, Mrs. McLendon died Friday, June 11, 2010, at Early County Nursing Home in Blakely, Ga.
Mrs. McLendon was a member of South Mount Zion Church of God and had worked as a seamstress at Donny Mills.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Leon McLendon; four grandchildren and a son-in-law, Roger Norman.
Survivors include two daughters, Gloria Hardage of Buena Vista, Ga., and Bobbie Tew of Donalsonville; two sisters, Ramona Stegall and Betty Cross both of Colquitt; four grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews and special neighbors, Janice and Quinn Smith.
Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
