A private memorial service for Dorothy Patricia “Patsy” Friday Cooper, 80, of St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of Bainbridge, will be held in Atlanta, Ga., at a later date.
Born Feb. 27, 1930, in Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Cooper died on June 10, 2010, at The Abbey Rehabilitation Facility in St. Petersburg, Fla., after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Cooper was a 1948 alumnus of Hillsborough High School in Tampa, Fla. She also attended Atlanta Christian College in East Point, Ga. She enjoyed listening to music, reading Pslams and watching baseball.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Edsel.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathleen Mosteller of Fort Pierce, Fla.; two sons, Mark Cooper of Atlanta, Ga., and Philip Cooper of Chattanooga, Tenn.; and eight grandchildren.
Per Mrs. Cooper’s wishes, her body was cremated at the National Cremation Society in St. Petersburg, Fla.
