Grace tournament Friday and Saturday

The Grace Christian Academy Cougars and Lady Cougars will host the Inland Fuels Classic Invitational Basketball Tournament Friday and Saturday at Perry Memorial Gymnasium.
Competition will begin Friday at 3 p.m. Byne Christian School Lady Saints from Albany taking on the Highland Christian Academy Lady Eagles from Valdosta.
Friday action will continue with 4:45 p.m. game between the Byne Saints and the Highland Eagles, and a 6:30 p.m. game between the Enterprise Prep Academy Lady Patriots and Coach Mike Harrell’s Grace Lady Cougars and conclude with an 8:15 p.m. game between the Enterprise Patriots and Coach Steve Murr’s Grace Cougars.
Saturday’s schedule will feature the ladies consolation game at 9 a.m., the men’s consolation game at 10:45 a.m., the ladies’ championship game at 12:30 p.m. and the men’s championship game at 2:15 p.m.
Following Saturday’s championship games, awards ceremonies will be held to recognize the first and second place teams as well as most valuable players and All-Tournament Teams.
The Lady Cougars roster includes senior point guard Brock Bailey, junior guards Abbey Smith, Caylin Walsingham and Emma Heard, junior forward Jocelyn Jacobs, junior power forward Leah Smith, junior forward Stephanie Mills and sophomore center Christy Colvin.
Rounding out the Lady Cougars’ roster are freshman guard Rachel Harrell, eighth grade center Hannah Wynn, eighth grade forward Shelby Woodrum, seventh grade guard Emilee Murr, seventh grade guard Kelsey Harrell, seventh grade point guard Perra Harrell and seventh grade forward Rhaegan Henderson.
On the Cougars’ roster are senior point guard Marcus King, junior guard Kyle Harris, sophomore center Bryce McQuaid, freshman forwards Tyler Jones and Jordan Davis, freshman guards Jackson Harrell and Daniel Ray, freshman forwards Jim Whitehead and eighth grade guard Bo Bailey.
Rounding out the Cougars’ roster are eighth grade guard Austin McQuaid, eighth grade point guard Chase Harris, eighth grade guard Brent Warr, eighth grade guard Alex Ward and seventh grade forward Jack McRae.
Grace Athletic Director Steve Murr says the tournament will attempt to provide an atmosphere of competition in a setting of good sportsmanship and family entertainment.
