Arizona Parrish

Funeral services for Arizona Parrish, 96, of Donalsonville, Ga., were held Monday, Dec. 20, at Reynolds Chapel United Methodist Church with the Revs. Wayne Webber and Donna Sue Roberts officiating.

Interment followed at New Brockton City Cemetery in New Brockton, Ala. Casketbearers were Ralph Tucker, David Nicholson, Mike McFeeters, Charles Nicholson, John Nicholson and Travis Whitman.

Mrs. Parrish was born July 13, 1914, in Crenshaw County, Ala. She died Dec. 17, 2010, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Ala. She was a seamstress and a member of First Baptist Church, New Brockton, Ala., a member of New Brockton Senior Citizens Center, worked as a pink lady at Tift Regional Hospital, and was a charter member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Enterprise, Ala. She was preceded in death by her parents, Simeon Hull and Onnie Evans Oliver; her husband, David Adelbert Parrish, and seven siblings.

She is survived by one daughter, Viola P. Nicholson, and her husband, Maylon, of Donalsonville; one sister, Bonnie Oliver Edwards of Enterprise, and two grandchildren.
