Ernest L. Frazier

Services for Dr. Ernest Lynn Frazier, 76, will be Saturday, Jan. 22. at 3 p.m., at Corinth Freewill Baptist Church in Iron City, Ga., with the Revs. Edward Cook and Richard Trawick officiating.

Interment will be in Corinth Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Justin Frazier, Nicholas Frazier, Joey MacConnell, Herbert Golden, Jim Jones, Shawn Frazier, Jason Frazier and Joe MacConnell serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1 p.m.

Dr. Frazier was born Feb. 14, 1934, and died Jan. 18, 2011, at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. In 1962, he married Gloria Jean Cook and his family called him a wonderful father and husband. Dr. Frazier was an educator and had the distinction of being named professor emeritus of Bainbridge College.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest I. and Erline (Pat) Carmack Frazier.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Jean Cook Frazier of Bainbridge; children Brian I. Frazier of Clayton, N.C., Bruce L. Frazier of Easley, S.C., Heather L. MacConnell of Shiloh, Ill., and Brett E. Frazier, M.D. of Seffner, Fla.; a brother, Jerry M. Frazier of Ozark, Mo., and 10 grandchildren.
