Ruby White Kelley

A celebration of life service was held for Ruby Mae White Kelley, 99, of Donalsonville, on Friday, Feb. 25, at Union Baptist Church with Dr. Calvin Arnold officiating.

Interment was private at Primitive Union Cemetery in Colquitt.

Mrs. Kelley died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011, at Seminole Manor Nursing Home. She was born in Ashford, Ala., on Aug. 20, 1911, and lived most of her life in Miller County, Ga. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, “Mema” and great-grandmother. Mrs. Kelley had been employed by the Miller County School System as a dietary and nutrition specialist and was a faithful member of Union Baptist Church.

Mrs. Kelley was preceded death by her parents, Benjamin Wiley White and Donie Goff White; her husband, Bruton F. Kelley; her brothers and sisters, Harvey White, Walter White, Don White, Travis White, Robbie White Gruber and Darby White.

She is survived by sons, Max Kelley and James “Bunk” Kelley; two grandchildren, Deanna Kelley Kirkland and Jamey Kelley and his wife Debbie; two great-grandchilderen, three great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
