Funeral services for Isaiah Logan Castle, 82, of Tallahassee, Fla., formerly of Bainbridge, were held Saturday, March 5, at the Church of Christ in Tallahassee with Brother Malcolm C. Hall Sr. officiating.
Interment was in Desoto Fields Cemetery in Tallahassee with Alonzo Burney, Marvin Murphy, Patrick Reddick, Reggie Walker, Walter Wiggins and Willie Wiggins acting as pallbearers.
Mr. Castle was born in Camden, N.J., on July 14, 1928, and died Feb. 27, 2011. Following the death of his mother, he was raised by his grandparents and attended school in Decatur County. He was a member of Emanuel Missionary Baptist Church in Fowlstown, Ga., and later united with the Church of Christ in Tallahassee.
He was retired from the City of Tallahassee Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Castle; children, Earnestine Patterson of Houston, Texas, Benjamin Castle of Detroit, Mich., Patricia Tharpe of Midland City, Ala., Felisa Castle and Malike Castle, both of Tallahassee; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Guyton Brothers Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
