Funeral services for W. Calvin Fleming, 58, of Bainbridge, Ga., were held on Friday, March 18, at Attapulgus Baptist Church with the Revs. Jack House and Jerry Bishop officiating.
Interment followed at Attapulgus Baptist Church Cemetery with James Spears, Donald Boyett, Lex McMillon, David Allen Sims, Dennis Smith and Earl Boyett serving as active pallbearers, and the employees of BASF will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Mr. Fleming was born Dec. 20, 1952, in Bainbridge, the son of Willie Byrd Fleming and Dorothy Louise Nix Fleming. He died March 15, 2011, at his residence.
He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1970, and a graduate of Bainbridge College with an associate degree. He worked with BASF for more than 20 years and his home church was Attapulgus Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Nix Fleming.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie N. Fleming of Bainbridge; his son, Michael Fleming, who is stationed in Portsmouth, N.H.; his daughters, Melanie Fleming Feliz and her husband, Elhoim, of Lawrenceville, Ga., and Heather Elizabeth Fleming of Bainbridge; his father, Bill Fleming of Attapulgus; his brother, Edward L. Fleming and his wife, Dora W., of Fayetteville, Ga.; and his granddaughter, McKale Fleming of Tallahassee.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at Ivey Funeral Home.
