Funeral services for Louise Alexander, 88, of Bainbridge, Ga., were held Saturday, March 18, at St. Paul Primitive Baptist Church in Attapulgus Ga., with Pastor Jerome Pendleton officiating.
Interment followed in the church’s cemetery with Donald Alexander, Richard Alexander, Keith Brown and Roger Stubbs serving as active pallbearers.
Born Feb. 1, 1923, in Shellman, Ga., Mrs. Alexander died on March 9, 2011, in Bainbridge.
Mrs. Alexander graduated from Shellman (Ga.) High School. She was the wife of the late Richard Alexander Sr., and together, the couple had nine children. She joined St. Paul Primitive Baptist Church at an early age and was a devoted member.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Alexander Sr.; and by four children, Michael Alexander, Walter Alexander, Jack Alexander and Ella Ruth Lewis.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Muscarella of Bainbridge; four sons, Willie Alexander of Tampa, Fla., Richard Alexander Jr. of Bainbridge; Anothy Alexander of Ohio and Donald Alexander of Climax; 10 grandchildren, and a host of extended family, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Bruton Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
