Funeral services for Martha Jo Gardner Singleton, 78, of Russellville, Ala., will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 24, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Vada with Chris Hogsed, Austin Singleton, Darin Singleton, Jeff Simpson, Ryan Simpson and Stan Powell serving as active pallbearers.

Mrs. Singleton was born Oct. 13, 1932, the daughter of Gentury and Roberta Gardner. She died Sunday, March 20, 2011, at Southern Manor Assisted Living in Russellville. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Al Singleton; her sons, Chan Singleton and Joey E. Singleton; her brother, Bryant Gardner; her sister, Catherine Powell; and her daughter-in-law, Sheila Singleton.

Survivors include her son, Al Singleton of Russellville; her daughter, Lisa Hogsed of Cobb, Ga.; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
