Hospice offering Camp Braveheart

This summer, Wiregrass Hospice will offer a camp for children ages 7-14, who have experienced the loss of a loved one.
Regardless of the type of loss, or the reason for the loss, all children throughout the area are invited to apply to attend Camp Braveheart. A prior affiliation with Wiregrass Hospice is not necessary, and there is no charge for the camp.
Experiencing a loss at any age is difficult, but it is especially hard for a child. Camp Braveheart is run by clinical experts who understand the healing process and who genuinely care about the children that are left behind. While the emphasis is on healing, there is play time as well. The children will participate in indoor and outdoor activities such as arts and crafts, field games and swimming. Children will also have the opportunity to honor the people they have lost with a very special memorial service.
The camp will be held at Camp Timpoochee, located in Niceville, Fla. The dates are Friday, July 15, through Monday, July 18. Volunteer applications to assist with Camp braveheart are being accepted.
