ATLANTA – One car dealership employee will get good mileage out of his Georgia Lottery prize. Randy Johnson of Cairo won a $20,000 prize after taxes from the April 6 $3,000,000 Taxes Paid Extra Chance drawing.

Johnson, who works at Action GM in Bainbridge, is having fun with his newfound lottery win.

“It’s exciting,” he exclaimed. “I had a bunch of my co-workers around me, and we were hopping around, shouting.”

Johnson, 49, and his wife, Helena, together have six children and 13 grandchildren.

He first plans to pay off bills with his lottery win.

The Georgia Lottery instant game “$3,000,000 Taxes Paid” is loaded with cash prizes of up to $3 million after taxes.

Players can submit non-winning tickets for entry into the “$3,000,000 Taxes Paid Weekly” Extra Chance Drawings for a chance to win $20,000 after taxes. Drawings are held on Wednesdays.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $12.3 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.3 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.1 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
