Funeral services for Alexis Marie Hutto Patty, 16, of Tallahassee, Fla., will be held 11 a.m. EDT on Monday at the Lake Mystic Baptist Church, 1529 NW CR 12, Bristol, Fla., with interment to follow at Tallahassee Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be held 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 17, at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home.
She was born Jan. 7, 1995, in Tallahassee. She died Wednesday, April 13, following an accident.
She was an A-B Honor Roll student at Liberty County High School where she also excelled as a softball player with the Lady Bulldogs. Previously, Lexis played softball with the Fort Braden Pioneers from the sixth grade through the eighth grade and they were district champions every year. She received a special award for an essay written on the Holocaust. Lexis had a special spirit that all benefited from knowing her.
Survivors include her mother, Betty Strickland Hutto and her husband, John Hutto, of Hosford, Fla.; two brothers, Justin Strickland and Austin Hutto, both at home; maternal grandparents, Winston and Barbara Strickland of Attapulgus, Ga.; her very special uncle, Army Calvary Scout 1st Sgt. Leonard (Ray) Strickland, formerly of Attapulgus, Ga.; her grandmother, Mary Hutto of Lake Seminole, Ga.; Tye Patty of Tallahassee; her paternal grandmother, Rosemary of Tallahassee, and paternal grandfather, Tyson Patty of Ocala, Fla.
