Bainbridge in top 20

Bainbridge has won a spot in the final round of World Fishing Network’s Ultimate Fishing Town USA competition and is now competing against 19 other communities from across the nation.
The finalists were announced on May 10, and Bainbridge was awarded a wild card spot in the competition.
Voting is now underway and will continue through May 31.
Voters can vote once per email address during each voting block. The times for the voting blocks are 12:01 p.m. to 6 p.m., 6:01 p.m. to 12 midnight, 12:01 a.m. to 6 a.m. and 6:01 a.m. to 12 noon.
At the end of the competition, the town with the most votes will be named Ultimate Fishing Town USA and will also win a 30-minute show about their town on World Fishing Network, as well as a $25,000 donation to be used toward fishing-related causes.
The winner will be officially announced on June 6 with an awards ceremony and check presentation by World Fishing Network.
Bainbridge and Richmond Hill are the only two Georgia towns left in the competition.
The other finalists are Roscoe, N.Y.; Waddington, N.Y.; Gladstone, Mich.; Baudette, Minn.; Winthrop Harbor, Ill.; Seward, Alaska; Destin, Fla.; Kissimmee, Fla.; Homer, Alaska; Florence, Ala.; Annapolis, Md.; Boulder Junction, Wis.; Hartsel, Colo.; Bradford, Pa.; Gold Beach, Ore.; Zapata, Texas; Grand Isle, La., and Denver, Colo.
