The funeral service for Calista Mock Pritzl, 87, of Bainbridge, Ga., will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 24, at First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Randy Mosley and Chris Erde officiating.
Interment will be held at Roselawn Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Pritzl was born March 25, 1924, in Colquitt, Ga., the daughter of John Dick Mock and Clara Lee Newberry Mock. She died Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at Harbor Chase of Tallahassee, Fla.
She was a graduate of Griggs School in the Mayhaw Community of Miller County, and the business school in Thomasville. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and owned and operated The Young Set, a local children’s clothing store, for more than 15 years.
Mrs. Pritzl was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, John C. Pritzl; and her daughter, Cindy Pritzl.
Survivors include her son, Karl M. Pritzl of Tallahassee, Fla.; her daughters, Karen Pritzl and her partner, Pamela Shank, of Tallahassee, Alice P. Malone and her husband, Tommy, of Havana, Fla., and Anna P. Smith and her husband, Eric, of Tallahassee; her brothers, Don Mock and his wife, Sue, and Jerry Mock and his wife, Trellis, all of Mayhaw; and her grandchildren, Mark Pritzl, Calista “Callie” Malone, Nevin Smith and John David Smith.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 23, at the Pritzl residence, 1006 Culbreth St., Bainbridge. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 541, Bainbridge, GA 39818.
