A memorial service for Clifford Scott “Scotty” Ulmer, 51, of Cairo, Ga., were held Monday, June 27, at Eastside Baptist Church in Cairo with the Rev. Dr. Paul Jones officiating.
Scotty was born in Cairo, Dec. 20, 1959, to William Clifford and Melba Finch Ulmer. He died Friday, June 24, 2011, at his home. He was employed as a propagation manager at Monrovia Growers, where he had worked for 32 years. Mr. Ulmer was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Ulmer.
Survivors include his mother, Melba Ulmer of Cairo; three daughters, Nicole Harvard and Ferrahn Godwin, both of Thomasville and Alisha Gainous of Cairo; a sister, Sereese Ulmer of Cairo and five grandchildren.

Cox-Ware Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
