Funeral services for the Rev. James Neal, 76, of Bainbridge, were held Saturday, June 25, at Mount Moriah No. 1 Church in Climax with the Rev. Douglas Barber officiating.
Interment followed in Conyers Cemetery in Climax with the Rev. Neal’s grandsons and nephews serving as active pallbearers.
Born Dec. 28, 1934, in Bainbridge, Rev. Neal died on June 18, 2011, in Bainbridge.
Rev. Neal was retired from the field of general construction. In 1966, he became an ordained preacher at Wicker Memorial Baptist Church in Morganville, N.J.
Survivors include his wife, Almeta Neal; three sons, Kurdice Neal and his wife, Claudette, Arnold Neal and Michael Neal; four daughters, Patricia Andrews, Nevelia Kupsick and her husband, David, Murdice Gatson and Charlene Neal; a sister, Dorothy Banks; a loving and devoted friend, Doris Suldon; as well as a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Melton Mortuary in Attapulgus was in charge of arrangements.
