With gratitude

For more than 40 years, Mary Gant and Gwendolyn Conyers have coaxed, coached, encouraged and ultimately congratulated the thousands of persons who these two ladies have helped pass the GED.
Come July 14, Gant will retire from being a chief examiner and Conyers will retire from being an examiner of the GED, on the same evening as the GED graduation.
It should be a day that this community whole-heartedly thanks Mrs. Gant and Mrs. Conyers for their time and effort in improving the lives of so many—and ultimately improving our community by having more high school graduates than perhaps would have been possible without their help and dedication.
Mrs. Gant and Mrs. Conyers are the epitome of educators who go above and beyond than to just teach or counsel—they take a personal interest in whether their students succeed or fail.
