The funeral service for Belinda Mullis Nichols, 61, of Donalsonville, Ga., who died Thursday, July 21, 2011, at her residence, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, at Bethany Baptist Church with the Revs. Joe Poitevint and Roy Matthews officiating.

Interment will be at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery with Mallory Miller, Adam Mullis, B.J. Poitevint, John Wayne Barber, Morris Nichols and Brantley Smith serving as active pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday at Bethany Baptist Church, prior to the funeral service.

Mrs. Nichols was born Dec. 27, 1949, in Cairo, the daughter of Miles Bernard “M.B.” Mullis and Thelma Shirley Holton Mullis. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1967, a retired second-grade school teacher for Seminole County Elementary School, and a member of Bethany Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Gary M. Nichols of Donalsonville; her sons, Stephen Nichols and his wife, Jennifer, of Richmond Hill, Ga., Ryan Nichols and his wife, Eva, of Fort Stewart, Ga., Jonathan Nichols and his wife, Allison, of Iron City, and Chris Nichols and his wife, Tiffany, of Seal Beach, Calif.; her brother, Danny Mullis of Bainbridge; her sister, Teresa M. Poitevint of Albany; and her grandchildren, Samantha Nichols, Ethan Nichols, Bradley Nichols, Corbin Nichols, Drew Nichols and Audrey Nichols.
