Patricia Austin (Patty) Sharber

The funeral service for Patricia Austin (Patty) Sharber, 79, of Bainbridge, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Danny Shepard and Dr. Pete Sharber officiating and will conclude at the chapel. Interment will be held at Oak City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Mrs. Sharber was born June 2, 1932 in Illinois. She died Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011 at Memorial Hospital.

She was raised by her grandparents, Bob and Claude Dean, in Bainbridge and was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1950, and member of First Baptist Church. Mrs. Sharber, with her daughter, Lynn, owned Patti-Lyn’s, a retail clothing store, for many years.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 155, Bainbridge, GA 39818.

Mrs. Sharber was preceded in death by her sisters, Joan Nelson and Paula Monahan.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, James E. Sharber of Bainbridge; her sons, Eddie Sharber and his wife, Gail, and Jerry Sharber and his wife, Cena, all of Bainbridge; her daughters, Lisa Sharber and Lynn Sharber, all of Bainbridge; her grandchildren, Jes Sharber, Tabitha S. Brock, Jy S. Rogerson, Matthew Sharber, Daniel Sharber, and Rebecca Sharber; and her great-granddaughter, Annabelle Pfeiffer.
