The Northside-Warner Robins Eagles, the Bainbridge Bearcats’ next opponent Saturday at 2 p.m. in Warner Robins, are led by quarterback Jack Montgomery.
He and receiver Keshan Hill hooked up for 227 yards and two first half touchdowns in a 35-7 season-opening home victory over Union Grove. In their most recent victory, a 57-14 Saturday night win over Lakeside-Evans, they demonstrated a strong kicking game to go along with their strong offense and defense. Their placekicker Dillon Mixon booted two long field goals.
The Bearcats and Eagles both enter Saturday’s game with perfect 3-0 records. The game will be the first Region 1-AAAA encounter for both teams.
Top Eagles’ receivers include Charlton Lane, Miguel Williams and Brian Dyson. Their running attack is paced by senior Martie Polk and junior Curtis Martin.
Defensively the Eagles boast Corey Lockett, Chris Crawford and Curtis Askew, a trio of hard hitting linebackers. The defensive line is also senior laden with Josh Chester and Herbert Wade leading the way.
Northside-Warner Robins is coached by Kevin Kinsler.
