St. John’s Episcopal Church, the church on Broughton Street with the red door, will observe the annual service of the Blessing of the Animals on Sunday, Oct. 16, at 3 p.m. on the church lawn.
The custom is conducted yearly in remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi’s love for all creatures.
Pet owners, and those with companion or service animals are invited to bring their animals for this special blessing service.
All animals should be restrained on a leash or in a carrier.
