It was a winter prom night full of dancing and fun for the participants of the Decatur County Special Olympics Snowflake Ball on Saturday, Jan. 28, at the Charles H. Kirbo Center at Bainbridge College.
Pat Harrell, a Special Olympics committee member, said that the Snowflake Ball was a success and that it had an even larger turnout than last year.
“The whole building, the atmosphere — everything about it just felt special and it just made them feel so good. I was very pleased with it,” Harrell said.
Harrell also said how the Special Olympics committee was excited to hold a Snowflake Ball again next year as well. The next event for the committee will be the track and field event in the spring.
