Services for Mrs. Anita (Neta) Thomas Barineau, 94, of Quincy, Fla. will be Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Attapulgus United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. until service time.

Interment will be at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Quincy.

Mrs. Barineau was born Dec. 23, 1917 in Attapulgus. She graduated from Southwest College in Americus, Ga. and was a lifetime resident of the Quincy-Attapulgus area. She was a member of the Attapulgus United Methodist Church where she was very active. She was also a teacher and homemaker, being an expert seamstress and cook.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Louie Barineau; daughter Anita B. Gibson (Edd) of Dothan, Ala.; son, Jim Barineau (Carol) of Quincy; grandchildren, Joy Payne (David) of Sumter, S.C., Amy Schwadron (Allan) of Auburn, Ala., Meghan Baxley (Will) of Sneads, five great-grandchildren; brother, Guy Thomas of Tallahassee; sister-in-law Sarah Thomas of Thomasville; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Charles McClellan Funeral Home in Quincy is in charge of the arrangements.
