Leathon Douglas of Opp, Ala., announces the engagement of his daughter, Sherri Douglas, to Sean Miller, son of Joe and Brenda Miller of Bainbridge.

The bride-elect is the daughter of the late Mary Douglas and the granddaughter of Elva and Ferbie Fay of Lebanon, Mo., and of the late Joe Douglas and Francis Douglas of Wing, Ala.

Miss Douglas is a 2004 graduate of Opp High School and graduated from Troy University with a degree in music. She is currently pursuing her master’s there.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of Nathan and Lou Salter of Bainbridge, and of the late Vernon Miller of Donalsonville and of Elsie Gilbert of Bainbridge.

Mr. Miller is a 2009 graduate of Bainbridge High School and is enrolled at Troy University studying music.

The wedding is planned for July 14 at 11 a.m. at the Firehouse Gallery, where the reception will follow. Invitations will be sent.
