Traci and Daryl Smith, of Bainbridge, and Jimmy Webb of Iron City, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Allison Nicole Webb to Jeffery Blake Murphy, the son of Jeff and Melanie Murphy of Bainbridge.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Robert Webb of Iron City, the late Kathleen Webb, and the late Thurman and Margie Rentz.

Miss Webb is a 2010 honor graduate of Bainbridge High School, and a 2012 honor graduate from Bainbridge College, where she received an associate degree in science. She was a recipient of the Ramsey Simmons Scholarship. She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nursing.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of Pete and Cathy Maine of Georgetown, Ga., and of Neil and Sarah Murphy of Reynoldsville, Ga.

He is a 2009 graduate of Bainbridge High School. He is a mortarman in the U.S. Marine Corps Infantry. He has received the following awards: the Navy Achievement Medal with combat distinguishing device, combat action ribbon, two Afghanistan Campaign medals, National Defense Medal, two Sea Service Deployment ribbons, Global War on Terror medal, and two Nato ISAF medals.

The wedding is planned for Aug. 11 at Spring Hill Tree Farm, where the reception will follow.
