A Celebration of Life service for Phyllis Louise Dellenbarger, 83, was held at Summit Hills, S.C., on Oct. 6, 2012.

Mrs. Dellenbarger was born Oct. 29, 1928, in New Jersey. She and her husband relocated to Spartanburg, S.C., in 2007, from Daytona Beach, Fla.

She was a friend to many during her residence at Summit Hills. In addition to being a wonderful mother, Phyllis was known as a loving, compassionate woman who always wore a smile.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Lynn E. Dellenbarger Jr.

Survivors include her three children, March Moody, Lynn E. Dellenbarger III and Leslie Dellenbarger. She has two grandchildren, David and Taylor, whom she adored.

The ashes of both Phyllis and her late husband Lynn will be placed in a memorial garden following a service at a later date at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Bainbridge.

Cremation Society of South Carolina, in Greenville, S.C., was in charge of the arrangements.
