Joseph Hewitt Campbell, 66, of Ochlocknee, Ga., passed away Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at his residence.

The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Jeff Stapleton officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens with Steve Wooten, Kevin Blanchard, Boley Elkins, Chris Bass, Jeremy Adams, Walton Jenks, Jordan Jenks, Mark Vanderweert, Doug White and Fred Wooten serving as active pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday at Ivey Funeral Home.

Joe was born Nov. 17, 1945, in Alexandria, Va., the son of Richard Lyle Campbell and Kathleen Marie Rogers Campbell. He was a graduate of R.L. Osborne High School in Smyrna, Ga., Class of 1965. Joe was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, serving during Vietnam, and was a technician for Colonial Pipeline Company. Joe loved his family, fishing, and riding his Harley.

Joe was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Campbell.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Anne Campbell of Ochlocknee; his daughters, Michelle Bass and her husband, Chris, of Leesburg, Ga. and Mandy Blanchard and her husband, Kevin, of Fitzgerald, Ga.; his brother, David Campbell of Cairo, Ga.; his sister, Lisa Jenks and her husband, Walton, of Griffin, Ga.; and his three grandchildren, Kaylee Bass, Campbell Bass, and Lainey Blanchard.
