Hudson Barber, the 12-year-old son of Bobby and Allison Barber of Bainbridge, is recovering after seriously injuring his right leg in a hunting accident this past weekend.
The accident happened on Sunday, Jan. 13, near Faceville. It was an accidental, self-inflicted shotgun wound, Hudson’s father said.
Bobby Barber said his son has had two surgeries since Sunday and is recovering in the intensive care unit at a hospital in Tallahassee, Fla.
Hudson is making a recovery but will have to undergo multiple surgeries over the next seven to 10 days, with physical therapy to follow, Barber said.
Hudson is in the seventh grade at Bainbridge Middle School and plays football.
