New surgeon joins hospital staff

Dr. Charles A. Walker, M.D., and Memorial Hospital and Manor are pleased to announce the association of Dr. Richard D. Zlotnik, M.D., F.A.C.S., in the practice of general surgery. He is board-certified in general surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
A native of Massachusetts, Zlotnik graduated cum laude from Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio, with a bachelor of science degree in chemistry. He received his doctor of medicine degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
Zlotnik completed a residency in surgery at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, where he coordinated the Surgical Residency Program. He also completed advanced graduate training as a surgical registrar in Kent, England.
For the past 27 years, Zlotnik has served as chief of surgery and practiced general surgery at hospitals in New Hampshire, Wisconsin and Massachusetts. Before moving to Bainbridge with his wife, Leslie, Zlotnik served as chief of surgical services at Russell County Medical Center, in Lebanon, Va.
