Grace’s Mills places 2nd in state

Even despite a rainstorm and chilly weather Saturday, several members of the Grace Christian Academy track team were able to finish with strong performances at the GISA state track meet.
The meet was held at Hugh Mills Stadium in Albany, Ga., and seven different Grace track athletes finished in the top eight in their events.
Grace’s Melissa Mills finished in second place in the girls’ 200-meter dash, finishing with a time of 29.14 seconds. She was also third in the 100-meter dash, with a time of 13.87.
Brent Warr placed fourth in the boys’ 100-meter dash, with a time of 11.86. Warr was also a part of the boys’ 4-by-100 relay that finished in fourth place. He was joined on that relay team by Michael Mills, Phillip Bowen and Brent Noble.
McKenzie Brown finished in seventh place in the girls’ 400-meter dash, with a time of 1:10.71. Dakota Vickers was seventh in the boys’ 400-meter dash, with a time of 58.07.
