Ronnie Martin, 54, of Bainbridge, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2013, at his residence.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2013, at West Bainbridge Baptist Church, with the Rev. Danny VunCannon officiating and will conclude at the church. Interment will be at Black Jack Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Joe Anderson, Phil Long, Stuart Griffin, Donald Bishop, Denny Sellers, Forest Sumner, Randy Weathersby and Glenn Heard. Honorary pallbearers will be the Men’s Ministry at West Bainbridge Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at West Bainbridge Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to West Bainbridge Baptist Church Food Bank, 801 Griffin St., Bainbridge, GA 39817.

Mr. Martin was born Sept. 1, 1958, in Bainbridge, the son of Wesley Martin and Mary Jo Booth Martin. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1976, and retired as a Senior Chief Ranger with the Georgia Forestry Commission after 28 years of service. Mr. Martin was a cattle farmer for 42 years and was a member of the Georgia Cattleman’s Association, Decatur County Young Farmers, and board member of Southwest Georgia Cattle Feeders Association. He was a member of West Bainbridge, Baptist Church where he actively served in the men’s ministry.

Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his sister, Gail Martin.

Survivors include his wife, Kerri Martin of Bainbridge; his daughters, Cricket Glover and her husband, Bryan, of Tyler, Texas, Melissa Martin of Longview, Texas, and Bethanie Robinson of Bainbridge; his brother, Randall Martin and his wife, Tina, of Bainbridge; his sister, Sue Tillary and her husband, Jed, of Bainbridge; and his grandson, Luke Glover of Tyler.
