Merritt-Hatcher engagement announced

Edwin Merritt and Robin Jones, the parents of Jessica Merritt, all of Bainbridge, announce the engagement of their daughter to Randall Hatcher, the son of Barbara and Stephen Vines Jr. of Attapulgus and of Tony Hatcher.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Lloyd Davis of Pelham, Ga., and of the late Edward and Helen Merritt of Calvary, Ga.
Miss Merritt is a 2009 graduate of Bainbridge High School and just graduated from Bainbridge State College with an associate degree in criminal justice. She is employed at Walmart.
The groom-to-be is the grandson of the late James and Pauline Trotman of Bainbridge, of Don Hatcher and the late Wynelle Hatcher of Donalsonville, Ga. He is also the grandson of Marilyn Vines and the late Steven Vines of Attapulgus.
Mr. Hatcher is a 2006 graduate of Seminole County High School and served with the U.S. Marine Corps in logistics operations. He is employed at Harvey’s Supermarket.
The wedding is planned for Oct. 12, at 3 p.m., at the Attapulgus Baptist Church. The reception will follow in the church fellowship hall.
