Recent DNR Reports

The following incidents were reported by Georgia Department of Natural Resources’ law enforcement officers, occurring between May 26 to June 8.
Grady County
On June 4, Cpl. Randy Davis responded to a call from a deputy regarding someone killing a turkey out of season. The deputy had arrived at a trespass complaint and observed a male subject walk out of the woods carrying a turkey. Cpl. Davis investigated the incident and found that the suspect had shot a hen turkey with a .22 caliber air rifle, which was hidden in the woods. The subject was transported to the jail, where he was cited for hunting out of season, hunting from a road, hunting from a vehicle, hunting without permission, and possession of illegally taken wildlife. The air rifle and turkey were seized as evidence.
Miller County
On June 8 , Sgt. Rick Sellars, RFC Tony Cox, and Ranger Jace Heard responded to the scene of a drowning that occurred in a private pond.
