Hildred Rich Barber, 77, of Bainbridge, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013, at her residence.

The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 24, 2013, at Calvary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Brian Hatchett officiating, and concluded in the church. Interment was at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery, with Evan Barber, Ryan Barber, David Pearson, Al Pearson, Bill Lanier and Mike Barber serving as active pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, P.O. Box 8195, Bainbridge, GA 39818.

Mrs. Barber was born Aug. 6, 1935, in Brinson, the daughter of Ralph Rich and Rosa Clare Ivey Rich. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1953, and a homemaker. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and very active in the Winsome Sunday School Class.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Brittany Barber.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, E. Harold Barber of Bainbridge; her sons, Ronald Barber and his wife, Karan, of Graceville, Fla., and Donald Barber and his wife, Libby, of Bainbridge; her daughter, Rosalyn Barber of Bainbridge; and her grandchildren, Ryan Barber, Evan Barber, Brian Street and Katie Jones.

Ivey Funeral Home was in charge.
