The Grace Christian Academy Lady Cougars dropped a tight 49-43 decision to the Aucilla Christian School Lady Warriors Thursday in Monticello, Florida. 

It was the first setback for the Lady Cougars following seven consecutive victories.

The Lady Cougars were led by Perra Harrell with 17 points and 8 rebounds and Kelsey Harrell with 13 points.

Kaitlyn Holcombe had 9 points and three rebounds and Addie Elkins had 2 points and 3 rebounds.

After the game Lady Cougars coach Erwin Harrell said he could not be prouder of his team’s effort.

“The ladies gave a great effort tonight,” coach Harrell said. “They played their hearts out but we had a few breaks go against us down t he stretch that we could not overcome.”
