Lady Cats soar to big win over Lady Indians, improve record to 13-4

Nadia Marshall and Tatiana Roseborough combined for 32 points here Tuesday night, leading the Bainbridge High School Lady Cats to a 52-23 victory over the Seminole County High School Lady Indians.
Marshall took game scoring honors with 22 points and Roseborough put in 10. Lady Cats head coach Kelvin Cochran said he was pleased with his team’s overall effort and particularly their defensive effort.
“We played good, strong defense out of the box and it continued thought the game,” coach Cochran said. “We also did a good job of ball handling, passing and efficiently getting the ball up court. We just need to keep up that kind of play down the stretch. Seminole County was our last non Region 1-AAAA game.”
The Lady Cats led 9-5 at the end of the first quarter, then outscored the visitors 18-6 in the second quarter to take a 37-11 halftime lead. A 9-4 third quarter scoring advantage put them up 42-15 after three quarters.
The Lady Cats returned to Region 1-AAAA action Friday when they traveled to Albany to take on the Albany High School Lady Indians. Tonight, they will be in Adel for a region game against the Cook County High School Lady Hornets. Their next region home game will be Friday, Jan. 22, against Albany’s Dougherty High School Lady Trojans.
